teaching

My teaching is as multi-disciplinary/hybrid as my artistic practice: embodied studio work meets code meets critical theory. My classes mix choreography, performance studies, and technological design. We make dances, negotiate with machines, question confines, read about relevant histories, and wonder about future innovations.

I assume curiosity and capacity from every student and cultivate spaces that support self-directed inquiry and discovery. My teaching is guided by an ethic of caring expansion—inviting students to stretch beyond perceived disciplinary boundaries while keeping methods accessible and workloads humane. I help students situate their work in active communities of practice, building rigor through respect and accountability.

My classes address a wide range of creative works, many of which are not my own, so the photos above are not all mine either, but reflect work that we analyze and address in class.
